Cookie policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. They help remember settings, store consent and, if you allow it, measure usage.

Similar technologies such as localStorage may be used for the same purpose. In this policy we refer to them together with cookies when they store preferences or state in your browser.

2. Consent categories

Necessary cookies are always on. We use preference, analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent, which you can change at any time.

We do not use marketing tracking today. The category is reserved for future tools; consent does not enable them until such tools are added.

3. Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies are required for the site to work: we store your cookie choice (routine-app-cookie-consent), keep your sign-in session (Supabase auth token, routine-app-remember-session for up to 30 days), OAuth state for integrations, and that a global announcement was dismissed (routine-app-announcement-seen_ until the announcement expires).

We store language choice (routine-app-language, routine-app-language-chosen) to show the correct UI language. These are functionally necessary and not used for advertising.

These cookies cannot be turned off in the product. You can block them in the browser, but then Tasqin may not work correctly.

4. Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember interface choices, such as list window order (Tasks, Files, Overview) (routine-app-list-window-order), history pane visibility (routine-app-history-pane), status sorting (routine-app-status-group-sort) and table column visibility (routine-app-table-columns).

We write these cookies only if you consent. If you refuse, the choices last only until you reload the page.

5. Analytics cookies

If an administrator has enabled Umami analytics and you consent to analytics cookies, we load the Umami script to count page views anonymously. Umami may use its own cookies or similar identifiers.

Without your consent Umami is not loaded. Analytics is not required for the service to work.

6. Other technology partners

Cloudflare Turnstile (sign-in and sign-up) may set cookies or process your IP for bot checks. Sentry (if enabled) may collect error and device data to improve stability; PII is redacted before sending.

Stripe may use its own cookies on payment pages for payment security. Google and Microsoft OAuth flows may use their service cookies if you are already signed in to those accounts.

7. Local storage (localStorage)

We use localStorage to store sidebar tree state, active team choice, time zone sync and cached file content for faster loading. This data stays in your browser and is not sold to third parties.

You can clear localStorage in browser settings; some preferences may be lost, but account data remains on the server.

8. How to manage consent

The first time you open the site, a cookie banner appears. You can accept all, reject optional cookies or customise categories.

You can change the choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. We keep consent for up to 180 days.

9. Changes

If cookie categories or their purpose change, we will update this policy and, if needed, ask for your consent again.
